For those of you that didn’t participate we had 4 teams go through a halloween escape room challenge involving an organophosphate assassination attempt in our very own simulation lab. Teams had to don appropriate PPE and find the code to enter the room followed by securing the airway on a hypoxic very wet sounding patient. On intubation the teams discovered another hidden code in the airway which released the antidotes (atropine – copious amounts and 2PAM which is controversial). Finally by giving the antidote which was actually bleach (no don’t do this for real unless you are Trump) it cleared the urine bag to reveal another code for people to call the toxicologist on-call and get released from the room. Oh and then the Hulk jumps out from behind the wall.
Results:
Everyone was within 60 seconds of each other.
