August 13, 2020 By Neil Long Leave a Comment

WELCOME TO THE GATES OF STEPTEMBER 2020!!

There are 11 teams signed up so far… there may be some late entries, but I wanted to list them now so that you can start giving people the evil eye when you see another of different group.  (Please no physical acts of violence, psychological mind games is permitted, and for the enjoyment of others encouraged :).

So now that we are all acquainted let me first start by welcoming you to Steptember.  This event is an effort to break away from the chrysalis of our daily lives and to take a few more steps to see more of what is around us and to improve upon what we are.  Below are the rules, simply it is track your steps for 20 days in the month of September and reading a non fiction book.  Take a look below if you have any questions feel free to email me back (John), or post your question for everyone to see on the STEPTEMBER BHED page.

PRIZES:

  • TOP INDIVIDUAL
  • TOP TEAM
  • MOST IMPROVEMENT IN WEEKLY AVERAGE

Rules:

  1. Track your daily steps (at the end of each challenge week forward your BEST 5 DAYS to your team leader)
  2. The top individual and top team will be calculated by the highest daily average (total steps in competition/ #of days in challenge 20/ # people in your team)
  3. There will be four weeks:
    • Week 1  September 1-9  (send numbers to John by September 11 before noon)
    • Week 2  September 10-16  (send numbers to John by September 18 before noon)
    • Week 3 September 17-23  (send numbers to John by September 25 before noon)
    • Week 4 September 24-30  (send numbers to John by October 2 before noon)

    • Reading one non fiction book of 300 + pages will give you 25,000 steps that you can add on to a week to increase your weekly average.  If you cannot find one book that has 300+ pages then you can read two books that will equal to the same. When you have finished reading the book please post a picture on the facebook page. This is how it could increase your stepse.g. Mon 17,289, Tues 23,495, Wed 25,101, Thurs 19,209, Fri 27,009, Sat 16,745  Sun 25,908 + BOOK BONUS 25,000.
